Bring a touch of graphic and luminous elegance to your decor with the magnificent Dracaena surculosa 'Florida Beauty' (formerly known as Dracaena godseffiana). This unique and very original houseplant is distinguished by its thin, rigid stems that resemble the delicate silhouette of a miniature bamboo. Its elliptical, glossy leaves, a vibrant forest green, are spectacularly covered with a multitude of creamy white and lime yellow spots and splashes, giving the impression that the plant has been delicately hand-painted. With its compact and bushy growth, it is the perfect plant to add texture and luminous contrast to a desk or shelf.
- Light: Medium to bright, indirect light. While it tolerates darker spots admirably, good brightness is essential for its beautiful cream spots to remain intense and contrasting. Absolutely avoid direct sunlight which would burn its foliage.
- Watering: Easy and moderate. Let the top third (approximately the top of the soil) dry out before watering generously again. This is an incredibly resilient plant that tolerates occasional forgotten waterings very well, but it hates constantly soggy roots.
- Humidity: Normal. It adapts with astonishing ease to the standard environment and humidity levels of our homes, making it extremely robust.
- Safety: Toxic. Contains saponins which can cause digestive problems if ingested. Keep out of reach of dogs, cats, and young children.
