This small collector's gem is distinguished by its charming miniature leaves, thick and leathery, which develop into heart shapes or small pointed spears. Its true visual signature lies in its dark green foliage, generously covered with speckles and silver flecks (the famous splash effect) that dramatically catch the light. With its very graceful trailing habit, it's the perfect compact plant to adorn a shelf or hanging basket. As it matures, it will offer delicate umbels of white, fuzzy porcelain flowers, exuding a divinely sweet fragrance.
- Light: Bright and indirect. Excellent light is essential to encourage the appearance of beautiful silver flecks on its leaves and stimulate its fragrant flowering. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which could discolor or burn its delicate foliage.
- Watering: Moderate. Allow the potting mix to dry out almost completely between waterings (about 75%). Its small succulent leaves act as water reservoirs, allowing it to easily tolerate occasional neglect. It dreads stagnant water above all else.
- Humidity: Normal to medium. It adapts very well to the usual indoor environment but will appreciate a boost of ambient humidity when new stems are growing.
- Safety: Safe! Like other members of its family, it is 100% non-toxic and safe for pets (cats and dogs).
