The Begonia rex 'Rumba' is a magnificent, compact variety highly prized for its unique, graphic foliage. Its small, thick, asymmetrical leaves feature a stunning, vibrant ruby-red center, deeply marked by contrasting borders and marbling of an almost black purple. Supported by pretty, fuzzy stems, this plant forms a dense, compact dome that offers a beautiful textural effect in hanging baskets.
Care tips:
- Light: Provide it with as much bright, indirect light as possible to preserve the pigmented, dark hues of its leaves.
- Watering: Wait until the surface of the soil is dry to a depth of a few centimeters before watering again. Avoid getting the foliage wet when watering.
- Humidity: It appreciates moderate to high ambient humidity. Place it near other plants or on a tray of clay pebbles to increase humidity without misting its delicate leaves.
