The Ficus elastica 'Ruby' is a magnificent, compact variety highly prized for its unique, graphic foliage. Its large, thick, leathery leaves sport a superb dark green center, deeply marked by contrasting borders and variegations of vibrant creamy pink that take on ruby hues in good light. Carried by attractive, sturdy stems, this plant forms a dense, compact dome that offers a beautiful textural effect in a hanging display.
Care tips:
- Light: Provide maximum bright light, with a little gentle direct sun to preserve the magnificent pink and contrasting colors of its leaves.
- Watering: Wait for the soil to be quite dry on the first few centimeters of the surface before watering again. It prefers being slightly underwatered rather than having excess moisture.
- Humidity: It adapts perfectly to the normal ambient humidity of our homes.
