Succumb to the royal and ultra-popular charm of the spectacular Philodendron 'Pink Princess'. This essential icon among collector plants continues to thrill enthusiasts with its striking color contrast. Its waxy, oval leaves grow on deep burgundy-purple stems. What makes it so magical is its asymmetrical variegation of vibrant bubblegum pink, mingling with a dark olive-green background marbled with dusty pink. Each new leaf is a true surprise from nature, able to display fine splashes as well as large blocks of solid pink. With its climbing habit, it will love to grow along a stake to develop increasingly larger leaves.
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Excellent light is essential to maintain the stability of its genes and encourage the plant to produce beautiful pink sections. Avoid direct sunlight which would burn or discolor the foliage.
- Watering: Moderate. Allow the top third of the soil (approximately the top of the soil) to dry out before watering generously again. It prefers well-aerated soil and dislikes excessive standing water.
- Humidity: Normal to medium. Adapts very well to a typical home environment, but a slightly higher ambient humidity level will help it unfurl its new pink leaves without them getting stuck.
- Safety: Toxic. Contains calcium oxalate crystals which can cause oral irritation if chewed. Keep out of reach of dogs, cats, and young children.
