The Ficus elastica 'Burgundy' is a magnificent, compact variety highly prized for its unique and graphic foliage. Its large, thick, leathery leaves feature a superb color that is almost black in the center, deeply marked by intense burgundy reflections and a contrasting bright purple-red central vein. Supported by lovely, sturdy stems, this plant forms a dense, compact dome that creates a beautiful textural effect in hanging baskets.
Care instructions:
- Light: Provide maximum bright light, with a little direct morning or late afternoon sun to preserve the dark, pigmented hues of its leaves.
- Watering: Wait for the soil to be quite dry on the first few centimeters of the surface before watering again. It prefers a slight lack of water over excess moisture.
- Humidity: It adapts perfectly to the normal ambient humidity of our homes.
