The Peperomia caperata 'Schumi Red' is a magnificent compact variety highly prized for its unique, graphic foliage. Its small, thick, heart-shaped leaves sport a superb metallic purplish-red color in the center, deeply marked by pleated, wrinkled undulations contrasted with a very dark burgundy. Carried on pretty reddish stems, this plant forms a dense and compact dome that offers a beautiful textural effect in a hanging basket.
Care tips:
- Light: Provide it with plenty of bright light, but without direct sun, to preserve the radiance of its intense purple and metallic hues.
- Watering: Its fleshy leaves store water. Wait until the soil is well dried out on the surface before watering again, as it is sensitive to excess water at the roots.
- Humidity: It adapts perfectly to the normal ambient humidity of our homes.
